SANTA CLAUS VS THE DEVIL! Plus THE THREE STOOGES NOT SHOWN ON TV!
Santa Claus (or Santa Claus vs the Devil). The US distribution rights were obtained by K. Gordon Murray, who became the King of the Kiddie Matinee.
The Chicago Psychotronic Film Society is quite a party. From it's earliest days with guests JOHN CLEESE, ROBERT DeNIRO, BILL MURRAY (our first dues paid member), DAN AYKROYD, SYDNEY POLLACK, RUSS MEYER, CLIVE BARKER, JOHN DUGAN, PENN AND TELLER, KENNETH ANGER, DARIO ARGENTO and many more there was nothing like it on earth. People travelled from all over the world to attend our parties or host them and none of the celebrities were paid to be at the events.
We did shows at bars and clubs LIMELIGHT, KABOOM, THE LYRIC OPERA (!), THE BIOGRAPH THEATER, THE LIAR'S CLUB and many more places. This meant you had to be 21 to attend and there were no dealer tables.
We were the only fandom that had an equal number of women in the group! Join us on Facebook here: The party starts now
K. Gordon Murray produced films, but his niche was taking foreign films and dubbing them into English — giving them a more sensational title (which is how Santa Claus became Santa Claus vs the Devil). He made the films feel like event movies since they would usually only show in a town for a single weekend, and only during a matinee. Santa vs the Devil is one of the most unique Christmas stories you’ll ever see.
Morbidly Beautiful review w/spoilers
Santa Claus (sometimes also known as Santa Claus vs. the Devil) is a 1959 Mexican fantasy film directed by René Cardona and co-written with Adolfo Torres Portillo. In the film, Santa Claus works in outer space and battles with a demon named Pitch, sent to Earth by Lucifer to ruin Christmas by killing Santa and "making all the children of the Earth do evil".

The film was considered to be a financial success over several holiday season theatrical releases in the 1960s and 1970s. Broadcast of the film also became a holiday tradition at several U.S. television stations. The film garnered at least one award, winning the Golden Gate Award for Best International Family Film at the San Francisco International Film Festival in 1959.
